Superman

I had less than no interest in going to the theater to see Superman.

I’m not a die hard James Gunn guy. I thought the trailers looked terrible. I am generally bored of superhero movies like the rest of us.

...And it totally won me over. Definitely the best movie Gunn has made since Guardians 1.

Similar to F1 earlier this Summer, if you just want to have fun at the movies, you can’t go wrong with Superman. James Gunn brings some of the best of Marvel (and just a tad of the lame quippy stuff) into DC in a way that makes me think there may really be a future for Superhero movies as a tentpole staple. Hopefully not the only blockbusters Hollywood feeds the viewing public, but a regular dose of big budget fare like this take on Superman is not such a bad thing.

This is a well crafted, very well written, truly funny take on the classic hero.
